The Englishman Who Was Unable to Sleep

An Englishman came in for treatment and said, “Dr. Ng, I am suffering!  I hope you can help me.”  I asked, “What is your complaint?”  He said, “My leg is very painful, so I can’t sleep.  But if I raise my leg, I don’t feel pain, but then, physically and mentally I am alert, and I cannot sleep at all.”  He allowed me a period of time to help him improve until finally, he could sleep. He wrote a letter to President Bill Clinton asking him to include acupuncture on the Medicare list.
